On the website of the Civil Aviation Directorate, the list of airports with a certificate still only features the airports in Nis and Belgrade, whereas Morava is on the list of airports with a use permit.
The tendering procedure opened by the Government of Serbia for the selection of an airline carrier for the Morava Airport, ends on Thursday, November 21, at 10 am.
The tendering documentation says that the bidder needs to have at least one airplane headquartered in Serbia, with a capacity of at least 70 passengers, and another spare aircraft, also stationed in Serbia.
Beginning with the first week of December 2019, the selected airline carrier will have flights to Vienna three times a week, whereas the flights to Thessaloniki, which will also be available three times a week, start on March 10, 2020, and end on October 15, 2020.
Those airlines have been pronounced airlines of public interest.
