The automotive industry has always placed high demands on logistics providers. The complexity of the supply chain requires complex solutions, and flexibility is necessary in order to be able to meet the clients' needs.

The long-term dedication to this segment of logistics, as well as the successful realization of the demands of multinational companies in this field have given Milsped a comparative advantage on the market and the primacy in providing auto-logistics services. Milsped AML is a member of the Milsped Group, which realized requests for the logistics of vehicles and spare parts. Aside from Serbia, it is also present in Slovenia, Germany and Russia, where it is oriented to providing transport and distribution services within the automotive industry. In 2018, Milsped AML transported around 160,000 vehicles by rail, whereas the projection for 2019 is 240 to 250 thousand.

The services of distribution and transport entail the transport of vehicles throughout Europe, Vehicles are transported from Germany to larger transportation ports in the area, as well as back to Germany. A year since the launching of automotive logistics services in the market of Russia, with a fleet of 30 trucks of the latest Euro 6 generation and the upgrade seen in the Russian market for the first time, this can be said to have been quite an achievement. In a short amount of time, direct agreements were signed with daughter companies of large world manufacturers: Mercedes Benz Russia, Volkswagen Group RUS, Glovis RUS LCC (Hyundai Kia), BMW Group RUS.

Following the trends and the client's demands, the company launched the project of moving logistics routes from road to rail. A total of 24 million vehicles is produced in the European market each year, half of which is exported to other markets. It is assumed that 35-40% of the cars manufactured are exported by rail, whereas the rest is exported by road. Rail transport is suitable for the transport of large quantities, especially when it comes to block cars with double platforms. With its 100 rail cars of the latest generation and specialists for the organization of rail transport, Milsped provides full logistics solutions in the European market. The cars have the maximum loading length on both levels, the latest versions of lift-over platforms and an optimized entrance angle (5% + 3%). Also, it cooperates with private providers which organize the traction of block rail cars in traction areas.

This way, the advantages of rail transport as one of the most economic forms of transport are used. Road traffic is reduced and traffic problems are avoided (congestion, accidents, blocking or weather effects). Another key benefit is environmental impact – this type of transport has ZERO emission of CO2.

Logistics solutions can be brought closer to the client's factory, through direct transport or in combination with road transport. The first company to put its trust in this project is DAIMLER AG – a premium producer of vehicles and long-time partner of Milsped. G-class transport is realized on the Graz – Bremerhaven route and logistics support is provided on all SPOT relations, with high demands when it comes to car quality and response speed.

Higher efficiency, higher reliability, lower costs – the demands in rail transport and for innovative solutions are growing bigger.
