PUE Beogradski metro i voz seeking adviser for construction of underground railway in Belgrade

The PUE Beogradski metro i voz has opened a public procurement procedure for technical and advisory services.

As said in the documentation, the Strategy of Development of the City of Belgrade until 2021 plans the preparation of study, planning and project documentation for the Belgrade Subway, as well as the beginning of the construction of the Belgrade subway system.

– The strategic orientation is for activities toward the construction of two Belgrade subway lines to be realized in the upcoming area, until 2033, in line with the schedule of the securing of financial funds for the purpose of the construction of a subway system in Belgrade – the document says.

The state should provide EUR 4.4 billion for the first two lines.

The general project, prepared by the French company Egis Rail, defines the routes of the two subway lines and the phases of their construction. According to the plans, the works are to be done in three phases. The first phase entails the preparation of the documentation of a 16.7-km part of line 1, with 18 stops between Zeleznik and Karaburma, and the preparation of the documentation for a depot in Makis.

As said in the documentation, the contractor's task is to provide support through consulting in all phases of the project: preparation of technical specification, preparation of project tasks, expert assessment of the solutions covered by the technical documentation, elements for the preparation of contract models and the following and assessment of the realization of the contract etc.

The contractor will be obliged to carry out the following activities:

– realization of activities preceding the preparation of technical documentation and providing an opinion about the documentation prepared before the signing of the contract and pertaining to the procedure of the preparation of the technical documentation for the Belgrade subway project;

– following and providing expert help in all activities carried out toward the preparation of the study on engineering-geological and geotechnical conditions for the construction of the subway system, in line with the adopted and authorized Project of Geological Explorations of the PUE Beogradski metro i voz.

The bid submission deadline is January 13, 2020.
