New flu epidemic declared

The Minister of Health, Tomica Milosavljević, declared the flu epidemic of A H1N1 type today (November 11, 2009) on the territory of Serbia.

As Milosavljević explained at the press conference in the Government of Serbia, the declaration of flu epidemic means emergency epidemic supervision and ban on public gatherings, including schools and nursery schools in the whole country or in certain parts of the country, which depends on the estimate of the authorized health institutions.
