SMATSA seeking contractor for construction of facility and infrastructure for radars in Besna Kobila

The Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services (SMATSA) has opened the tender for the project of the upgrade of the air navigation system, with a part of the funds coming from a loan by the European Investment Bank.

This international invitation for bids pertains to the agreement on the project component – the construction of the building and the accompanying infrastructure for radars PSR+SSR Mode S in Besna Kobila.

The agreement entails the construction of radar station structures and the accompanying infrastructure in the Besna Kobila location. The radar station should feature an antenna tower, along with a radar system, power supply, TC and IT equipment, fire protection system, video surveillance and other side systems, as well as the accompanying infrastructure for connecting the facility with the local infrastructural systems. The gross area of the facility is 1,010.45 m2.


The agreement is expected to be implemented between March 2020 and August 2021.
