"Tarom", "Adria Airways" and "Croatia Airlines" to fly from Belgrade
Romanian air transportation company "Tarom" will be flying from Belgrade to Bucharest starting from December 7th, while Slovenian "Adria Airways" will introduce Belgrade-Ljubljana flights on March 1st, 2010. It is expected that the license for flights from Belgrade will also be issued to "Croatia Airlines", which should start flying from Zagreb to Belgrade on May 1st, 2010.
"Tarom" is expected to have three flights to Belgrade per week, while "Croatia" should fly to Belgrade four times a week.
When it comes to low-cost companies, in addition to Austrian "Fly Nikki" that already has flights to and from Belgrade in its offer, other low-budget airliners should start using Belgrade-based Airport in 2010.
The Civil Aviation Directorate invited low-cost British company "Easy Jet" yesterday (November 18, 2009) to come to the meeting in Belgrade in order to be introduced to the market of Serbia.
The same invitation was earlier sent to Irish "Ryan Air" and Hungarian "Wizz Air", and another two companies, the names of which have not been revealed yet, are going to receive such invitation.
