Construction of new Al Jazeera Balkans headquarters to start soon in Sarajevo

The international broadcaster Al Jazeera Balkans is currently in the process of acquiring all necessary permits so it could start building its modern headquarters in Sarajevo neighborhood Sip this Spring.

Al Jazeera Balkans has already bought the land plots and recently they presented the preliminary design for the new building done by the famous architect Sead Golos.

Al Jazeera project manager, Sead Zivalj, told eKapija that the construction should start by the end of Spring 2020 if all went according to plan.

– We plan to finish the new office by the end of 2021 because we want to celebrate our tenth anniversary in a new home but we shouldn't make any speculations yet because we prioritize the quality of the works.

Zivalj explains that the building has a futuristic design with traditional elements.

– The preliminary design covers the facility which includes all necessary. functional zones. The object will include two underground levels for garage space,two basement levels, a ground floor and three storeys, a total floor area of around 7,500 m2. The building will consist of several significant architectural volumes. The ground floor will also contain a garden which will imbue the place with a special charm.
