Lower telephone bills for small and mid-sized enterprises - "Telekom Srbija" presented new "IP Centrex" service
Company "Telekom Srbija" presented new service "IP Centrex" for small and mid-sized enterprises yesterday (November 24, 2009) at telecommunication forum "Telfor 2009." It is the service that makes it possible for the company to connect fixed telephones to its own network, even if it has premises in several locations. According to the words of Jelena Stojanović, the Marketing and Sales Manager in "Telekom", the companies will, in that way, cut their phone bills significantly.
Instead of paying 5,500 EUR for a home phone exchange, the owners of companies need to set aside 900 EUR and monthly fee of 15,000 RSD for "IP Centrex" service. The calls between the connected phones are completely free of charge, the calls to mobile networks will be charged 4.9 RSD per minute, while international calls cost 4.8 RSD per minute. "Telekom" provides the equipment for "IP centrex" service, and the owners of companies also have the possibility to separate business calls from private calls, assign speed dial numbers, increase or decrease number of connections within the network in an easy way, as well as move connections without changing the number.
According to the calculations made by "Telekom", the company would have to set aside 2.6m RSD for using a home phone exchange over the period of five years and to replace the equipment after that, while the costs for use of "IP Centrex" service in the same period would amount to 1m RSD.
