Potentials of Serbian economy presented to Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bilefeld in Germany
In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of East Westfalia and city of Bilefeld, which is the region with traditionally well-developed mechanical industry, production of car parts, furniture and wood processing, the presentation of the potentials of Serbian economy and the business meetings of Serbian and German companies were held on November 12, 2009, under the name of "Serbia - candidate for EU and important business partner".
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dortmund in the nearby Ruhr region backed the organization of the meeting and invited its members to attend it. The market of Serbia, as a business theme, attracted over 40 German companies, including the most significant ones from this region (CLAAS, MIELE, "Gildemeister", "Harting", "Wincor Nixdorf"), and the meeting was opened by the President of the Chamber of Bilefeld.
The participants in the meeting were also addressed by the Ambassador of Republic of Serbia to Germany, Ivo Visković, who spoke about perspectives of the cooperation between Serbia and Germany, while the Director of the Branch Office of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia in Frankfurt, Milanka Vučić, spoke about opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries and stimulus measures of Serbian Government for foreign investments.
In addition to the representatives of the Embassy, the General Consulate from Dueseldorf and the Branch Office of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Serbian delegation also comprised the representatives of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Serbia (SIEPA) and Serbian companies "IVA28" and G.M.T. from Belgrade. The meeting was organized by the Embassy of Republic of Serbia to Berling, the Branch Office of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia in Frankfurt and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of East Wesfali and Bilefeld, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dortmund.
