"Frigo" to expand assortment - cold storage plant and fish processing unit to be opened soon
If local self-government fulfills the promise and has about 200 square meters of access road built, new unit for processing and producing fish and fish products LBB "Frigo" will be opened in Apatin in 15 days.
That facility comprises business building, production-processing unit and cold storage plant at total surface of 1,200 square meters. Works on the facility were started at the beginning of this year, and they are now in final phase, that is, the parking lot in front of the building is being paved and some works on the beuatification of the building's interior are being carried out. Technical reception and issuing of all permits are expected within the next ten days.
- By opening this facility, "Frigo" will be able to deliver up to four times more goods per year, that is, about 4,000 tons, and the assortment of products will be significantly expanded as well. That primarily concerns new products that will be offered to local and foreign markets in association with foreign companies from the CEFTA region, EU and Russia. The facility is built according to the highest food production standards - HACCP - said Dragan Počuča, the Director of business unit LBB "Frigo" and one of the company's owners, and added that the capacity of the new production unit would be the biggest not only in Serbia, but also in broader region.
The funds have been provided by the Provincial Secretariat of Science and Technological Development of APV - 14.7m RSD, from the loan of 20.2m RSD granted by the Development Fund, as well as from the company's own sources. The Appraisal Committee has estimated the value of the facility at about 1.3m EUR.
