Renovated Hotel Hammeum opens in Prokuplje – Luxury 4-star building revived

Hotel Hammeum, built in Prokuplje in 1967, was fully renovated in 2019. The full interior and exterior were reconstructed and the hotel management proudly emphasizes that the 4-star Hammeum can now compete with the best hotels in the country with its modern look and its wide offer.

– The hotel now has 36 accommodation units across three floors, that is, 6 economy, 21 standard and 3 standard superior rooms and 6 apartments. It opened for guests on November 25, 2019, and the investor is SZTR Cutura from Prokuplje, owned by Boban Petrovic – Milan Jovanovic, the sales and marketing manager, says for eKapija.

Jovanovic points out that they are proud of the companies which worked on the project of the renovation of the hotel.

– Local companies were hired to do the rough construction works, Studio A4 from Belgrade did the project of the reconstruction of the facade and the design of the interior, and the full interior equipping was done by Union Drvo from Belgrade. Also, the renovation included companies CIP, GAMA Consulting, Toplicagradnja, Proal and others – Jovanovic says.

The rooms feature natural lighting, and each one has a work desk, a nightstand, a mini-bar, a safe, a phone, an LCD TV and an artistic painting.

– Each room is built from the best quality materials, has free Wi-Fi access and is equipped with modern air-conditioning and heating devices – Jovanovic emphasizes.

The hotel also features the Festina Lente restaurant with around 400 seats, which, as Jovanovic claims, has become one of the most visited restaurants in these areas in a short time.

– The restaurant consists of three parts: an a la carte restaurant, where the food is prepared by chefs with many years of experience, a cafe-patisserie, which offers Italian coffee and local cakes and ice cream, and a pizza place where pizza is prepared in wooden ovens, making for the most sophisticated taste a pizza can have – our interviewee says.

Also, the hotel features a conference room with 35 seats, which can be rearranged as per the guests' wishes (movie theater style, classroom style, “П” style..._), and flip chart, TV, audio and video equipment is available as well.

New investments have been announced, slated for the spring.

– The plan is to build an outdoor cafe with around 300 seats, one of the most modern facilities of its type in these areas – Jovanovic says.
