After nearly 20 years, "Adria Airways" flies to Belgrade again
- After the break of nearly twenty years, Slovenian national air transportation company "Adria Airways" will, once again, start flying to Belgrade on March 1st, 2010 - people from that airliner announced on Friday (December 11, 2009).
According to the announcement, the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia issued the license to the Slovenian airliner on Friday for introduction of daily flights between Ljubljana and Belgrade.
For the flights to Belgrade and all other destinations in Europe, "Adria Airways" will be using its own airplanes, as well as the airplanes of the world's leading air transportation group "Star Alliance", of which full-right member is the company from Slovenia.
- At the beginning of 2010, the management of "Adria Airways" will visit Serbian national air transportation company "Jat Airways" and speak to its officials about possible commercial cooperation between the two airliners - said Orhan Hodžić, the Director General of "Adria Airways" for Serbia.
The fleet of "Adria Airways" is made of the up-to-date airplanes, and that company has over 250 regular weekly flights from Ljubljana to Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Zurich, Kiev, Copenhagen and other European cities.
Through the network of flights of the world's leading air transportation group "Star Alliance", "Adria Airways" daily connects Ljubljana with over 1,000 destinations all around the world.
