Crnogorski Telekom makes net profit of EUR 4.3 million in 2019

The net profit of Crnogorski Telekom amounted to EUR 4.3 million in 2019, and the lower figure, the company explains, is down to the lower operating income. Telekom says that the income amounted to EUR 80.2 million in 2019, which is 5% less than in 2018.

– The drop is the most noticeable in the segments of wholesale and landline telephony, which is the result of the market trends – the company explains.

The EBITDA amounted to EUR 29.1 million, which is 7% less than in the comparative period.

The growth of the operating income in 2018, however, was largely a consequence of the implementation of new accountancy standards and extraordinary positive effects. Last year, the company recorded an increase in the number of users in nearly all segments, compared to 2018.

In late 2019, with 241,000 active postpaid SIM cards, Telekom had 6 % (14,000) more postpaid users than in late 2018.

The number of prepaid SIM cards dropped by 6% (8,000). The number of mobile internet users grew by 15,000, that is, around 9%, to 184,000.
