The aim of Hotel Summit Serbia is to present the most relevant examples of good and innovative operations, as well as the current trends in the hospitality industry in the country, the region and the world. The third conference, organized by the IN B2B Media publishing house and InHoReCa and InHotel magazines, will be held on March 26, 2020, at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Belgrade.

Several domestic and international experts in the hospitality industry, from the Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia, as well as general managers of the leading hotel chains in Serbia, managers of some of the largest investment projects, will share the latest research results, examples of good business practice, trends, challenges and secrets of success in the demanding markets of the hospitality sector with the participants.

Horwath HTL, an international agency for research and development of the hospitality market, will present the hospitality landscape in Serbia and the region and give its angle on the potential and the speed of the development of the market. Investments and trends will be discussed by Milos Cicmil, CFO of Promont Group, one of whose members is Fruske Terme, one of the largest tourism investments in Serbia, worth EUR 28 million, with a total area of 47,000 m2, eight pools, 200 rooms and 13 apartments.

At the Leaders for Changes panel, there will be talk about how the general managers of the leading global hotel groups which operate in Serbia meet the challenges of the changing economic conditions, travel trends, operating demands and the labor market. The participants are Hom Parviz, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Belgrade, Nicolaas Houwert, General Manager at Hotel Hilton Belgrade, and Robert Gasser, General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center.

The conference will also deal with innovative business models, which offer a source of income outside hotel rooms, and the potential of the VR technology. A case study from Slovenia will also be presented, using the example of a hotel whose development involved the entire local community.

The conference will be wrapped up by Eyck Zimmer, British Chef of the Year 2006, and Emile Bootsma, Director and founder of his eponymous atelier for hospitality concept and management solutions, who has held the leading positions at Kempinski hotels in Berlin, Budapest and Beijing.

They will share with the local hotel management community their view of the food and beverage (F&B) sector – how has the role of F&B changed and how important is it in hotels? How to set up the organizational structure of F&B? How important is the creative potential of the employees to success in business?

The conference will gather nearly 300 participants from hotels (general managers, operations managers, heads of sale and marketing, revenue managers, F&B managers), as well as the side industry (HoReCa equipment and services, consultants, tourist community and others).

The full list of topics and participants, as well as information about registration fees and application, can be found at www.hotel-summit.rs.
