"Sezampro" became part of "Greenhouse Telecommunications" holding - realization of about 22m EUR worth of investment in 2010 announced
Telecommunications company "Sezampro" announced last night (December 17, 2009) that it had become part of "Greenhouse Telecommunications" holding.
The Executive Director of the "Greenhouse" group, Slobodan Đinović, did not want to specify value of the acquisition of "Sezampro", but he pointed out that 70% of the investment plan of 22.5m EUR had been fulfilled in 2009. The holding invested that money in Serbia in association with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and other investors.
Đinović reminded at the press conference, occasioned by the 20th anniversary of work of "Sezampro", that "Greenhouse" had integrated another two telecommunications companies from Serbia into the holding in 2009 - "Media Works" and "Neobee.NET".
He added that the realization of about 22m EUR worth of investment in the market of Serbia in 2010 was in the pipeline, as well as that the business investment plan for the next four years exceeded 46m EUR.
- "GreenHouse", of which investors are EBRD, fund Augustas and several private investors from Serbia, demonstrated services of fixed telephony and Internet access to the Republic Telecommunications Agency (RATEL) yesterday and, thus, became the second operator in Serbia that can offer the services of fixed telephony - said Đinović.
He expects that "Media Works", one of the companies within the holding that obtained the license for fixed wireless telephony in May by building a CDMA network, will start providing services of fixed telephony in mid-February 2010.
- "Greenhouse" will invite the first commercial subscribers to sign the contract already at the beginning of the year - said Đinović and added that the new fixed operator would raise competitiveness in the market of Serbia to higher level.
According to his words, the plans are being drawn for the fixed telephony network that should cover all major cities in Serbia already in the first quarter of year 2010, and the plan is that the telephony system in rural municipalities be installed by the end of the next year, which is one of the contractual obligations of "GreenHouse".
Đinović is of the opinion that the network will be able to serve few hundred thousand users in 2010.
The Director General of "Sezampro", Zoran Životić, expressed satisfaction with the integration into "Greenhouse", which is, in his opinion, extension of the company's successful operations.
Životić said that, in only nine months, "Sezampro" had got over 10,000 permanent users of VoIP-based international telephony services.
