The investment is worth EUR 120 million, and the plan is for 1,100 workers to be employed in the upcoming period. This is the first phase of the works, and the production should start in mid-2021.
– We came to Pancevo due to the proximity of Belgrade and Novi Sad, as these are university cities, which is important for us, because we will also have a development center here, in addition to the production facility, and we need workers with higher education to work on developing hardware and software – says Thomas Spangler, Executive Vice President for Operations at Brose Group.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that this was an important investment for Banat, but also for Belgrade and that 41% of the employees at Brose will be workers with higher education.
– The salary will be around EUR 750 for workers, EUR 1,100 for engineers, and we expect it to grow to EUR 1,900 – Vucic said.
The heads of Brose Group have expressed their expectation that the company will realize a turnover of around EUR 440 million in Serbia by 2025.
Brose Group Chairman Michael Stoschek said that this would be Brose's ninth factory.
– We have recently opened a factory in Slovakia, and we are now looking at the construction of a factory and a development center in Pancevo, which, on an area of 60,000 square meters, will be our largest production grounds – Stoschek said.
He pointed out that Brose, founded in 1971 as a family company, is now fourth in the world when it comes to the delivery of car parts and that it supplies around 200 million electric engines a year.
The Brose factory in Pancevo will produce engine cooling fan modules, oil pumps and electronic components.
Brose is a family company, which employs around 26,000 workers in 24 countries in 64 locations, making a turnover of EUR 6.2 billion. They claim that every second vehicle in the world contains their components.
