KAD seeks strategic partner for takeover of company "Mercator"
"Kapitalsko Društvo" (KAD), Slovenian investment fund, is interested in purchase of a share in "Mercator" chain and it already negotiates with potential co-investors.
KAD confirmed that it was negotiating with finance institutions that can be co-investors, such as "Goldman Sachs", investment companies CVC, KKR and Alp invest, and others.
In case it decides for purchase, KAD will buy 10% of the Slovenian biggest market chain.
The President of the Administration of KAD, Borut Jamnik, confirmed to Ljubljana's "Delo" that the fund was interested in purchase of share in company "Mercator", but he did not want to say the price that would be offered for the stocks.
KAD also expressed the interest in purchase of the minority share in company "Mercator" earlier this year, on several occasions.
KAD used to be one of the owners of company "Mercator", but it sold its share of about 15% to company "Istrabenz" in September 2005.
