Serbia more and more attractive for film and ad shooting - movie industry to be attracted in 2010
- The Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Serbia (SIEPA) plans to make Serbia attractive for shooting of foreign films and high-budget advertisements in 2010 - said Vesna Perić, the CEO of that agency.
She told Beta agency that SIEPA planned to promote Serbia in 2010 as "creative destination" for shooting foreign films and high-budget advertisements because, as she pointed out, "it is a good industry that will provide work for other industrial branches in Serbia as well".
Ms. Perić said that the film industry would employ textile industry for production of costumes, lumber industry for scenery, and she also added that it would affect employment of restaurants, hotels and security companies.
The CEO of SIEPA also said that Serbia should protect domestic film industry and attract foreigners because it was very good for the image of Serbia in the world.
- If some good actor says he had a good time in Serbia and that the director made a good deal, such marketing is both bigger and cheaper than the ad on CNN - said she.
Ms. Perić said that British actor Ralph Fiennes, who was staying in Belgrade at the end of the last year, announced that he would shoot the movie in the capital city of Serbia and pointed out that Serbia had attracted him because of quality manpower and great conditions for shooting in various locations.
- You can shoot deserts, rivers, lakes in Serbia, which makes it suitable for film industry - the CEO of SIEPA, Vesna Perić, told Beta agency.
