– In mid-March, there were official data on 10,839 laid off workers, and by the end of March, when we announced the measures, between March 30 and April 3, the employment rate grew and 8,839 had returned to their jobs. This means that slightly fewer than 2,000 people have lost their jobs – Vucic said.
He added that the number of the employed had grown by 8,262 at legal entities, by 6,995 at private enterprises, that the number of non-contract employees had grown by 1,097 and that the number of registered individual agriculturists had dropped by 321.
He also says that, after the pandemic, difficulties will be experienced across Europe, and that the IMF has said that Serbia will overcome the crisis slightly easier than others, thanks to its monetary and fiscal policy.
