Serbian Company Termovent to Build Largest Covid-Lab in Europe

Fourteen experts from the Serbian company Termovent left for the Netherlands on May 8 to participate in the raising of the largest covid-laboratory in Europe.

– After six trucks full of equipment, this morning, with the help of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, 14 experts from the Serbian company Termovent left this morning for the Netherlands, where they will work on establishing the largest covid-laboratory in Europe, for the preparation of tests and potential production of vaccines – the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia says in a press release.

The president of Termovent, Dusan Perovic, said that, in the compromised conditions of transport and business operations, due to the pandemic, they had still managed to send people to the Netherlands and thanked the CCIS which had helped them “finish the complicated procedures and meet all the requests.”

The covid-laboratory in the Netherlands should start working this July. The first phrase of the project pertains to the forming of a lab for COVID-19 testing, whereas the second one, which Termovent has already contracted, entails the construction of a facility for the production of vaccines.

– We are realizing this project of national importance in the Netherlands in cooperation with our long-term client, the company Poonawall, for which we produce and assemble equipment and secure the required technical conditions for the production of vaccines and other products from this group, including high-class protection of both the people and the environment – Perovic emphasizes.

Termovent, which has already delivered equipment for the largest covid-lab in six trucks full of finished products, will also coordinate the activities of the experts in this project, including assemblers from Slovenia and other EU states.

Fourteen experts left Serbia for the Netherlands, mostly mechanical engineers, specialists for the assembly of Termovent's equipment. They will assemble the equipment which is supposed to secure the conditions for the installations of the covid-lab technology.

– We are not the producers of the technical equipment, the laboratory, or the testing equipment. Instead, we provide the basic conditions, which are the temperature, humidity, pressure and safety criteria. We produce those elements and clean room panels. We form sterile spaces and full regulation in those spaces so as to ensure a controlled pressure, temperature, humidity and all other parameters, which are the basic condition for quality testing and for quality results – explains the president of Termovent.
