Government accepted Telenor's offer for second fixed telephony license
- The Government of Serbia accepted Telenor's offer of 1,050,000 EUR for the second fixed telephony license yesterday (January 21, 2010) - the Minister of Telecommunications of Serbia, Jasna Matić, announced.
- Matić said that Telenor was expected to receive the license in mid-February if the Administrative Board of the Republic Telecommunications Agency (Ratel) confirmed the Government's decision at the meeting the next day - it is stated on the website of the Government of Serbia.
She said that, in that case, Telenor should start providing the services of fixed telephony and Internet in Serbia by the end of the year.
According to her words, in that way, the citizens will be free to choose from the offer of packages of the services of mobile and fixed telephony, Internet and IPTV, which will make their total expenses for telecommunications much lower than now when all these services are paid separately.
