Reconstruction of Bor Hospital and Construction of Two Ecological Heating Plants Might Start by the End of 2020

Last year, the City of Bor set aside substantial funds for several capital projects, namely, the reconstruction of the General Hospital, the construction of the third altitude zone and replacement of a part of the waterworks in Bor and the construction of two new heating plants, while having the existing one switch to another, alternative type of fuel.

The state of emergency due to the COVID-19 virus in March and April has slowed down the preparation of the projects, but they should be completed over the next month or two, announced the mayor, Aleksandar Milikic.

After that, by the end of the year, the realization is expected to begin in cooperation with the Office for Public Investments of the Republic of Serbia.

– The project of the reconstruction of the hospital has been expanded to include video supervision and control of the patients' state, solar heating and the construction of additional parking spaces. The construction of two new ecological heating plants for the city is also part of the plan, one at the New City Center, the other in Jovana Ducica Street, whereby the workload of the main heating plant would be reduced, while quality heating for all citizens would be secured – Milikic says.
