New Music and Ballet School Buildings with Concert Hall in Novi Sad Completed, Equipping to Follow

The works on the construction of the new Music and Ballet School buildings with a concert hall are finished, the equipping is to follow, and the schools should start working in the second half of the upcoming school year.

– So far, we have set aside RSD 2.77 billion from the city budget for the construction, and by the end of it, the project should costs us a total of RSD 3.1 billion. We spared no resources, the best materials were used and we are procuring the best equipment and instruments, as we want to create the best conditions for work and concerts. All the children who want to and earn the privilege will be able to enroll, because the institutions' capacities will double – emphasized the mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, as reported on the city's website.



The director of the Music School “Isidor Bajic”, Radmila Rakin Martinovic, MA, says that she is pleased that such a project is being realized in Novi Sad at the time when large orchestras are being disbanded in Europe and the world due to cutting of the funds for the culture.

– We are procuring 46 grand pianos and 27 upright pianos at the same time, which has never been done before in these areas. This building will help Novi Sad become a musical capital, an important spot on the art map of Europe.
