Vršac-based Intertron invests 0.5m EUR in paper bags production unit
Intertron in Vršac, which deals with wholesale trade in paper, is going to invest 500,000 EUR in a machine for production of paper bags and, thus, significantly improve the operations. The money is provided from the subsidized loan of ProCredit Bank.
Dejan Janjatović, a member of the Executive Board of ProCredit Bank, said that local companies had expressed big interest in ProCredit Bank's subsidized loans for investments and liquidity.
- During this week only, our branch offices received many applications for this type of loan and, so far, we have already approved several subsidized loans for liquidity, as well as the first subsidized loan for investments in this year. Our expectations are that, thanks to very favorable loans for investments, as well as the fact that the procedure of their appoval this year is much simpler than in 2009, many companies will get the opportunity to start or continue realization of investments in production and business. In that way, domestic economy will be able to achieve its projected goals since about 40% of small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia are of the opinion that they will be able to keep strengthening their market positions in 2010 - Janjatović explained.
By approving the first subsidized loan for investments, ProCredit Bank continued active support to SME sector, in which over 1.3bn EUR have been invested to the date. The bank has also granted about 7,500 subsidized loans for all purposes in total amount of 88m EUR within the framework of the subsidized crediting program of the Ministry of Economy.
