Man stole ambulance... and paramedics and patient

A man in Wisconsin allegedly stole an ambulance with a patient and paramedics still inside it.

Police say Nicholas Pontillo (24) of Lake Villa, Illinois took the vehicle for a joyride while drunk.

Pontillo reportedly stole the ambulance when it was parked with its emergency brake on and the paramedics were in the back treating a patient.

Police say Pontillo only drove a short distance in a parking lot and was arrested after trying to run off. Pontillo has been charged with a felony. The patient, who had an injured knee, was transported successfully and is expected to be okay.
