New Exercise Challenge – Local System Eschewing Weights and Using Digital Force Calibration Principle Patented

The Vigour startup, which develops high-tech exercise equipment, is also developing a project within the Science-Technology Park in Cacak. They primarily focus on developing a multifunctional, digitized device for nearly all muscle groups, the so-called 'Cable Trainer”. The equipment they produce features a patented mechanism which fully eschews weights and is personalized and simple to use. It is meant for professional athletes and those who exercise anywhere in the world. The mechanism was invented by Vojin Plavsic.

This smart machine is based on a system which replaces traditional weights with a constant source of force which the user works against while exercising. It offers advanced user experience. The amount of force and the tempo of the exercise are set by a simple click on the touch screen.



The project is in the final stage of the development of the mechanical assembly, in an advanced phase of digitization, but only in the initial phase of testing. The next important steps are the preparation of the final prototype in line with the documentation and the instructions of mechanical engineers and industrial designers, and then the final testing phase.

When asked whether the startup expect any partners in this project, the company's director, Ilija Djukic, told us:

– As a nation of athletes, Serbia finally deserves to have a giant in the sports tech industry. We expect new partnerships and they are very important in this phase of startup development. We have an excellent team, a product which is needed in the fast-growing sports market and, for that reason, we expect investments. When you have experienced, highly educated and talented people in your team and when your products can solve the problems of the end-users in the market, it is natural to expect to get good partners.
