As the municipal administration specified for eKapija, the plan for the Recreation Zone includes the development of the coasts and the introduction of attractive features, adapted to their natural environment.
– The plan is to develop the beach – the swimming area with side features, a promenade with a cycling lane, parks and green areas along the river, the construction of multifunctional sports courts, pools and side commercial features – the municipality says.
In the Center Zone – between the footbridge and the bridge near the green market, the town should open toward the river, and the plan for this area also envisages the development of two smaller squares with plenty of greenery, suitable urban furniture and side features, the development of all pedestrian connections from the main street to the coast and the construction of a one-way ringroad.
The plan covers an area of 42 hectares, that is, the flow of the Mlava river through Petrovac upon Mlava with the coasts. The project developer is Andzor Engineering doo from Novi Sad.
New Investments
The Municipality of Petrovac upon Mlava is one of the first municipalities in Serbia to prepare the Development Plan from 2020 to 2027. This document defines the key priorities of the development of the municipality: the improvement of the environment for the development of the economy, the improvement and promotion of the tourist offer, an increase in agricultural productivity and environmental preservation.
– The priority projects in the Development Plan are the provision of land to investors with all the necessary infrastructure, by obtaining the former barracks facilities, creating an adequate space for all cultural institutions and the municipality's Cultural Organization – by reconstructing the old elementary school, and the reconstruction and expansion of the water supply and sewer systems – the municipality says.
The plan, they add, is to ameliorate, close and re-cultivate the unsanitary town landfill and build a transfer stations with a recycling yard and reconstruct the General Hospital and build a biomass heating plant.
