Citizens to be Informed of PCR Test Results Through Text Messages or Emails from Today

The Office for IT and eGovernment of Serbia has announced that it has upgraded the free automatic system of notifications of PCR test results sent to citizens through text messages or emails.

In addition to an earlier service of applying for a notification at the eGovernment portal, a patient can now leave a contact phone or email address during the testing, after which the notification is sent automatically, the government says on its website.

The director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Mihailo Jovanovic, says that, after the eGovernment portal introduced the service of notification of the results of a PCR test being available, they have now developed the service of automatic notification.

– It's enough for the citizens to leave their contact info at the health institution where they are having the test done, and the notification of the results being available is sent automatically. The service will still exclusively send notifications about the results being available, and the results can still be seen on the e-zdravlje.gov.rs portal – Jovanovic said.

He reminds that there is no need for citizens to expose themselves to risk by going to health institutions and that the service will function automatically and notify the citizens 24 hours a day.

To those who forget to leave their contact info while testing, the service of applying for being notified is still available at the eGovernment portal, the press release says.
