Investment fund Anbo, which is run by Andrej Jovanović and Bojan Milovanović, former owners of Marbo Produkt, the company that is famous for production of potato chips and other snacks, is interested in taking over Kraljevo-based industry of fireproof materials Magnohrom.

As Blic finds out, during the talks in the Government of Serbia, Jovanović and Milovanović offered to pay 17m EUR for Magnohrom and to invest the same amount in renovation of production.

Investment fund Anbo drew the attention of the public as a seriously interested potential buyer of Jat Airways. The fund, of which capital, according to some estimates, exceeds 270m EUR, the major share of which came from the sale of prestigious company Marbo, put Magnohrom on the top of the list of priorities for investment in the state.

Upon the termination of the sale contract with Indian Global System, which is managed by the Mittal brothers, the Share Fund of Serbia became the owner of Magnohrom.

- All I can say is that we talked about sale of Magnohrom and that the company's representatives had the meetings with the current managerial team of the industry of fireproof materials in Kraljevo. That was also a subject of the talks in the Ministry of Economy. Investment fund Anbo is interested in investing in several companies in Serbia in various domains. However, it is too early to speak about whether the contract with Magnohrom will be signed - Jovan Nešović, a representative of G17 plus in the Parliament of Serbia, told Blic.

According to the information provided from the source close to the Ministry of Economy, Anbo Group is interested only in Magnohrom's section for production of fireproof materials and it is willing to buy it through direct deal with the state, that is, the Share Fund.

- Magnohrom now has 242 workers in two separated units, 142 of whom are working in the factory of electro-thermal products, while the rest work in joint departments, fireproof industry and mines - says Dragutin Majstorović, the representative of the state-owned capital in Magnohrom.

By the decision of the Share Fund, these two units should be sold separately on tender. Along with the equipment in the mines on Zlatibor and the transfer of rights to ore exploitation, the buyer of the fireproof section would also get a quite dilapidated old part of the industry and another unit (SVTVO) that could be put in operation as soon as the ore arrives.

- When the value of Magnohrom's property is put on one side and the company's debts on the other side, the company still has a positive balance. If the buyer wants to start production, he would have to pay the debt of 174m RSD to Srbijagas immediately, to resolve the problem with the equipment in SVTVO, which belongs to company Bomex because of the debt, and to completely renovate the equipment in the mines. In spite of everything, this company has a bright future because its products will always be needed in the market - says Majstorović.
