Euro-Asfalt and Granit to Build Section Between Tarcin and Entrance to Ivan Tunnel on Corridor 5C, Worth EUR 77.9 Million

The agreement on the construction of the Tarcin-Konjic section, Tarcin-Ivan subsection, LOT1, Tarcin-entrance to the Ivan Tunnel, was signed yesterday at the seat of the PE Autoceste FBiH in Mostar.

The agreement was signed by Adnan Terzic, the director of the PE Autoceste FBiH as the investor, on behalf of the consortium of contractors Euro-Asfalt and Granit Skopje, Hamed Ramic, the director of Euro-Asfalt, Denis Lasic, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the capacity of a witness on behalf of the PE Autoceste FBiH, and Almedin Husomanovic, in the capacity of a witness on behalf of the consortium of contractors.

The value of the agreement on the construction of the Tarcin-Ivan Tunnel entrance is EUR 77,903,313.84 with VAT, or EUR 66,584,028.92 without VAT, and the funds are provided through the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the amount of EUR 50 million and through grants of the European Union in the amount of EUR 11.7 million, secured through the Connectivity Agenda of the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).

The length of Lot 1, Tarcin-Ivan Tunnel entrance, is 4.9 km. The construction period is 20 months.

By the end of the year, the plan is for the PE Autoceste FBiH to award another three agreements on the construction of the sections Poprikuse-Nemila, Kvanj Tunnel-Buna and Nemila-Vranduk.
