The ambassadors of the EU member states have decided not to change the current list of 11 countries from which the entry to the EU is allowed, Brussels confirmed for Tanjug.

At the first meeting after the summer break, the standing representatives of the member states considered the information about the epidemic and concluded that there was no reason at the moment to expand the list of third countries from which a free entry to the EU is allowed.

The list features Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and China, which is conditioned by the reciprocity principle.

On July 1, Serbia was put on the list, but was removed in mid-July due to the worsening epidemiology situation.

A new review of the epidemic data and the list will take place in two weeks.
