- Water factory Aqua Ultima in Boljevac has started production of drinking water, which is supplied by means of pumps from the well 180 meters deep at spring Buk on the slopes of Rtanj mountain - said Nikola Rašić, the factory's CEO.

- Since water comes from an ecologically clean environment, no chemical treatment is required, but only filtering - he explained.

In addition to the bottling line for plastic bottles of 0.5 and 1.5 liters, there is also a bottling line for glass bottles of 0.25, 0.33 and 0.75 liters.

The capacity of production is 10,000 bottles per hour, and the plan is that the market, which now exists only in Serbia, be broadened outside the borders.

The factory's owner, Mića Jovanović, who is also the rector of Megatrend University, invested 2.5m EUR in that unit, with the help of the loan granted by the Development Fund of Serbia for underdeveloped municipalities.

The factory now has 12 workers and, as CEO Rašić points out, additional four or five people will have to be be hired during the season.
