Apple will invest in the construction of the two world's largest wind parks, located in the own of Esbjerg in Denmark as a part of the company's goal to invest in renewable energy.

Apple announced that he 200-meter-tall turbines are expected to produce 62 gigawatt hours each year — enough to power almost 20,000 homes.

The wind parks would serve as a testing ground for wind turbines of the future, SEEbiz portal reports.

The power produced at Esbjerg will support Apple’s data center in Viborg in northwest Denmark. The data center helps power Apple’s App Store, Apple Music, iMessage, Siri, and other services in Europe, Pc Press magazine writes.

Last month, Apple announced its plans to become carbon neutral across its entire business, by 2030. The investment in the wind turbines should bring the company one step closer to their goal.
