New index on Ljubljana Stock Exchange

Starting today (March 22, 2010), the Ljubljana Stock Exchange has a new index - LJSE Composite or LJsex.

It is a general index, the heir to indexes SBI20 and SBI, and its basket will comprise all stocks that are traded on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

Index SBI20 came out of use on the last working day of the previous week.

- One of the news from Slovenian capital market is that index SBI TOP will become the first real blue-chip index, that is, an index of the prices of top-quality and the most liquid shares - the Ljubljana Stock Exchange announced.

SBI TOP will comprise five to ten shares with minimal market capitalization of 50m EUR and minimal average daily turnover of 50,000 EUR.

Starting today, SBI TOP's basket includes the shares of Krka, Telekom Slovenia, Petrol, Mercator, Nova Kreditna Banka and Osiguranje Triglav.
