"Delta holding" bought 10% of stocks of Mercator?
According to Slovenian magazine Finance, Belgrade-based Delta holding bought 10% of stocks of market chain Mercator in September. It is written in the text that the business will be realized in couple of weeks and that the sale was requested by new stockholders of Mercator, Istrabenz and Pivovarna Laško, and that the stocks were sold by the president of the Administration of Slovenian Investment Fund Kd group Matjaž Gantar. Finance writes that 2% of stocks of Mercator, which are the property of Deželna banka, have also been sold. This magazine adds that the contract on sale of the afforementioned 12% of stocks have already been signed. According to the information provided by unofficial and reliable sources, Delta holding paid about €150 per stock of the biggest Slovenian market chain. That is the price recently given by Pivovarna Laško and Istrabenz for the stocks of Slovenia. Finance published announcement given by Matjaž Gantar who negated the sale of stocks, but the magazine cited that the linking of Delta and Mercator would be carried out by director of Istrabenz Igor Bavčar, who spoke on that issue with the markets settled in Croatia.
Head of the Administration of Mercator, Zoran Janković, says that he read in a newspaper about the sale of the stocks of that company and that possible change of owner is not registered in the business books. He points out that the sale of stocks to Delta does not bother him, because every stockholder has the right to sell stocks whoever he or she wants.
Delta holding neither confirmed nor denied these information.
