Arpad Zavarko Appointed New Honorary Consul of Hungary in Vojvodina

Vera Vukicevic, the assistant minister of foreign affairs of Serbia, handed over the exequatur to the newly appointed honorary consul of Hungary in Vojvodina, Arpad Zavarko. The main task of honorary consulate, whose office will open in Novi Sad, will be to develop the economic relations between Serbia and Hungary and will not concern traditional consular activities.

The meeting was also attended by the Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia Attila Pinter, who said the relations of two countries had reached an exceptional level, and that the new diplomatic mission would increase Hungary's active presence in Vojvodina.

Arpad Zavarko is a well known lawyer from Novi Sad.
