Bus with Euro 6 standard made in Kragujevac - new product by Vulović Transport
Vulović Transport has presented Maz-Bik 203 CNG, a city low-floor bus powered by compressed natural gas, made in Kragujevac.
The Technical Director of Vulović Transport, Saša Milojević, pointed out that it was domestic product constructed by Serbian engineers and added that large number of domestic manufacturers of car components had participated in its production, while certain parts of industrial pneumatics had been made by Prva Petoletka from Trstenik.
The bus was produced in association with Belarus MAZ and it meets the Euro 6 standard. Milojević reminded that Vulović Transport had been cooperating with MAZ from Belarus for long time and that it was the general distributor of that company for the territory of Serbia. He also added that Maz-Bik 203 CNG was the joint product of the two manufacturers.
The representative of the Embassy of Belarus to Belgrade, Sergej Čičuk, estimated that that project had the best prospects of all projects that were being implemented within the framework of the Belarus-Serbian cooperation.
Čičuk pointed out that factory MAZ was not producing such type of buses and explained that the research, planning and the whole marketing work for that product had been done by Serbian company Vulović Transport.
He said that the parts from Serbia, Belarus and European Union had been built in the vehicle and added that the aim was that the product would obtain the status of domestic product in order to be offered not only to the market of Serbia, but also to the EU and the CEFTA market.
Čičuk pointed out that the Embassy of that country was supporting aforementioned cooperation between MAZ and Vulović Transport because it was not only trade, but also higher level of cooperation - industrial cooperation.
Vulović Transport announced that the assembly-line production of buses powered by compressed natural gas would start in April 2010. The contracts on business-technical cooperation are signed with 27 domestic manufacturers of car components, while the order for the commencement of assembly-line production of 40 units has already been placed.
