Spanair launches Belgrade-Barcelona flight on April 15th
- Spanish air transportation company Spanair will launch the flights from Belgrade to Barcelona on April 15th - the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia announced.
As the people from the Directorate told Beta agency, Spanair (www.spanair.com) will be flying on that route three times a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This airliner will also launch Belgrade-Madrid flights on May 28th and fly twice a week on that route - on Friday and Sunday.
Latvian airliner Air Baltic and Hungarian low-cost air transportation company Wizzair will also include the flights from Belgrade in their summer timetables, which will be in effect prior to October 30th.
Air Baltic (www.aribalic.com)
will be flying from Belgrade to Riga on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from May 5th.
Low-cost airliner Wizzair (www.wizzair.com) will launch the flights from the Belgrade airport to German city of Dortmund on June 12th, while the flight to London will be launched on July 24th. This company will have three flights a week on each route - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The new airliner at Belgrade's airport this summer season is Danish company Cimber Sterling, which launched Belgrade-Copenhagen flights on March 29th.
People in the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia said that one very popular European low-cost company had expressed interest in launching the flights from Serbia, but they did not want to reveal the name of the company until it officially asks for the license for flights.
