Home Plus Store Chain Going Into Bankruptcy – Buyers to Lose Both the Ordered Goods and the Money?

The well known store chain Home Plus is going into bankruptcy, which is why their outlets at certain shopping malls have been closed, Vecernje Novosti writes.

According to the daily, the creditor has filed the request for the opening of the bankruptcy proceedings to the Commercial Court, and the company's accounts are frozen.

As said, all the consumers who have bought products from the company and are waiting for them to be delivered are most probably going to lose both the goods and the money.

The National Organization for the Protection of Consumers of Serbia points out that this is a very unfavorable situation for the buyers, because in all bankruptcy proceedings there are first numerous creditors that need to be repaid before the consumers are.

Let us remind that the company was renamed from Home Centar into Home Plus in 2017, when they also announced the opening of new stores throughout Serbia.
