Czech Companies Planning Investments in Serbia

Commerce and telecommunications are the priority fields of cooperation between Serbia and the Czech Republic and the operations of the Mixed Committee need to continue, as Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic and Czech Ambassador to Serbia Tomas Kuchta agreed.

As the ministry announced, ambassador Kuchta has expressed his satisfaction with the operations of Czech companies in Serbia and announced that other Czech companies planned investments in Serbia as well.

He highlighted the project of Avala Film, emphasizing its importance for the Serbian film industry and announcing the construction of a film education institution within the project, as well as a large film studio.

The ambassador also pointed out the significant opportunity for the import of Serbian products in the field of chemical production, tire production and agricultural and food production.

Minister Matic emphasized that the cooperation with PPF Group was of special importance and reminded that the ministry opened invitations to operators for a joint building of a broadband network in rural areas.

The participants in the meeting concluded that the growth of the trade was a good indicator of the economic cooperation of the two countries and expressed their expectations for the further growth of the cooperation, especially with the expected economic stabilization in 2021.
