"Coca cola" bought "Vlasinka" - € 100m worth of investments
"Coca cola" company with its headquarters in Atlanta and "Coca-cola Hellenic Bottling Company" with headquarters in Athens signed the contract with "Simpo" company on Friday, February 18, 2005, on procurement of 100% of assets of "Vlasinka", the company for production of mineral water "rosa". The value of this transaction is € 100m, whereas "Coca Cola" company paid € 21.5 million for the assets of "Vlasinka". Except for selling price, this amount includes investments in development projects and programs that will be implemented in the future.
At the moment, "Vlasinka" factory produces 60 million bottles per year, although the capacity of its units is 300 million bottles.
"Coca-cola" plans to increase production, invest in distribution, marketing and sale.
"Coca-cola HBC" and "Coca-cola" companies have been investing in Serbia and Montenegro since 1997 and they have so far invested over € 110m. www.coca-colahbc.com www.cocacola.com
