This is an amended study that takes into consideration the new BREF document which came into effect in late 2019, concerning stricter requirements when it comes to defined thresholds for emissions into the air.
Compared to the project for which the previous study was done, the project is partially amended for the thermal power/heating plant fueled by municipal waste. The project of the construction of the incinerator in Vinca is now already a year old.
Let us remind that, in late September 2017, the City of Belgrade signed the agreement on a public-private partnership with the consortium of Suez&I-Environment and DPN Beo cista energija on the construction of a municipal waste treatment plant in Vinca.
The facility for turning municipal waste and landfill gas into energy is part of the project of the construction of the waste management complex in Vinca. The facilities – the thermal power/heating plant fueled by municipal waste and the cogeneration facility for getting electrical and/or heating energy from landfill gas – are to be built in phases.
Adequate infrastructure is planned in the location as well – collectors for irrigation and collection of waste waters, access and internal roads and maneuvering areas.
According to the study prepared by Dvoper from Belgrade, the planned dynamics of the construction of the facility for turning municipal waste into energy should enable it to be put into operation in 2021.
