There are no genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the territory of Serbia either in production or in sale, stated Serbian Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic.

He said for Vecernje Novosti that “certain business circles” had an interest in “pushing” the GMO agenda and added that Serbia had “a clear and strict law in effect”.

– There’s also the fact that, when it comes to the membership in the World Trade Organization, that area needs to be regulated – the minister said.
