Luss Textile from Raska Candidate for Supplier of Plein Fashion Brand

World-renowned fashion designer Philipp Plein, the founder of Philipp Plein International Group, has visited the local company Luss Textile in Draganici near Raska and discussed the possibility of future cooperation and joint projects with the company’s management.

Sava Mitrovic, the director of Luss Textile, pointed out that, in the preceding two years, Luss Textile had managed to put Raska on the map of the most significant world producers of clothing textile items.

– At the end of the week, we will have the first working meeting to discuss the possibilities of launching the production of clothing items for Philipp Plein. The plan is for the factory to employ another 200 workers from the Raska territory and our desire is to continue at the current pace, to be the engine of development of Raska and the entire region – Mitrovic emphasized.

The designers expressed his satisfaction with the visit to the factory in the Municipality of Raska at the invitation of the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), Marko Cadez.

– It is a great pleasure to see such a modern production facility, considering the distance from Belgrade and especially since we are always looking for new suppliers that can meet our standards and demands as to the design and the quality of the products. Luss Textile has many interesting possibilities of becoming a supplier for our brand. We produce around a million pieces of clothing a year. We work mostly in Europe and Asia, but Europe is becoming increasingly important for us due to the proximity of our central storage space. The potentials of this factory are great, they have a wide range of products – Plein said.

According to Cadez, Plein is one of the most popular designers in the world at the moment, a man who dictates fashion trends and has made a fascinating world career for himself.

– It is a great honor to be with Philipp in Raska today, at one of the most modern factories in Europe, which already produces for large brands. There’s no Fashion Week or a city where Philipp Pein is not the most interesting and creative participant. He has just arrived from the Milan Fashion Week, as he said, he landed here in Raska, and we are talking and hoping for good projects with this great man – Cadez said.

Luss Textile is a renowned producer of clothing, coveralls, military, police and corporate uniforms.

The factory started operating in January 2019 and is already successfully cooperating with Replay and the world’s most famous fashion brand which sells winter coats. More than 90% of the products are sent to the European market. It currently employs around 300 workers and it intends to employ up to 750 people from Raska, Novi Pazar, Leposavic and other places in the area over the next five years.

Philipp Plein International Group, which includes the brands Philipp Plein, Plein Sport and Billionaire, produces garments, footwear, accessories and furniture. Philipp Plein is the winner of numerous awards, he cooperates with show business and fashion celebrities and he has boutique stores from London, Paris, Milan, New York to Hong Kong.
