The group chairman and CEO of DP World from the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, announced an interest in investments in free zones and intermodal terminals in Serbia to the end of increasing the efficiency and sustainability of goods transport at a meeting with the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, and the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic.

The company, which is a global leader in smart logistics and which manages ports and terminals in 61 countries on six continents, has owned the Port of Novi Sad since 2019.

– Our investment in Novi Sad, which will soon amount to EUR 35 million, will become very visible in the upcoming months and years. The new port crane, grain silos and a vertical wharf at the port will bring us to a very strong position and I am looking forward to the reconstruction of the new passenger terminal, which we will hand over to the city of Novi Sad later this year – said Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, who also visited the port in Novi Sad.
