- Gomma Line from Kragujevac exports complete production of rubber automotive supplies to the markets of Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan thanks to the free trade agreements - said CEO Nenad Cvetković.
He told Beta agency that that company exported one truck loaded with automotive supplies every week, but he did not want to specify the value of that export.
- Six months ago we became a supplier of General Motors' company Daewoo in Uzbekistan, which gets nearly 40% of our production. Our clients are Russian GAZ and UAZ as well, and we have also become the main supplier of MTZ from Minsk, which produces agricultural machines and tractors - said Cvetković.
Thanks to the benefits of duty-free export, Gomma Line has become more competitive than the companies in Western Europe and started supplying its products to the renowned automotive manufacturers in the East.
Cvetković said that the company's strategic aim was to start cooperating with the companies in Western Europe, primarily, Italian Fiat.
- The chances exist because the products of Gomma Line have passed all the tests of the existing customers. The company is currently in the process of introduction of ISO TS 16949 standard, which is the strictest standard in the automotive industry - he said.
Gomma Line produces various types of rubber air hoses, gaskets, profiles, etc.
According to Cvetković, the company has 42 employees between 25 and 30 years old.
- When it started production in 2007, Gomma Line was processing five tonnes of raw rubber, while now it processes eight times more - he said.
- We have hired young and strictly selected staff from Kragujevac, as well as expert and experienced engineers and technologists from Inđija, Bečej and Batočina - said Cvetković.
