Serbian Citizens Least Indebted in Ex-Yu Area

Croatian citizens are the most indebted in the region, with total banking loan debts amounting to EUR 18 billion, whereas Montenegrin citizens owe the least, around EUR 1.39 billion in total, according to the January data on retail loans from the six central banks of the former Yugoslav states.

Slovenians are second with total debts of EUR 11 billion, whereas Serbian citizens are in the third spot with EUR 10 billion.

However, observed by the total loan amounts per capita, it is Serbian citizens that are the least indebted, writes the Biznis.rs portal.


As for personal loan debts, Slovenians come first with an amount of EUR 5,286, followed by Croatians with EUR 4,208, Montenegrins with EUR 2,239, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with EUR 1,536, Macedonians with EUR 1,452 and, finally, citizens of Serbia with an average debt of EUR 1,443.
