Turkish Acibadem Becomes Majority Owner of Bel Medic

Acibadem Health Group, the world-famous hospital chain, has become the majority owner of Bel Medic, the leading private healthcare institution in Serbia.

As Bel Medic announced, this health institution with a tradition of 26 years will operate as Acibadem Bel Medic from now on, and Jasmina Knezevic will remain a co-owner and the CEO.

Acibadem Healthcare Group has been operating in Turkey since 1991. On a global level, the system functions in another 4 European states (North Macedonia, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and now in Serbia as well), with 21 hospitals, 13 outpatient clinics, over 4,200 beds, with over 22,500 employees and 4,000 doctors. Acibadem Health Group belongs to the world’s second biggest hospital chain IHH.

On the occasion of the integration of the Bel Medic system within Acibadem Healthcare Group, Mehmet Ali Aydinlar, a co-founder and chairman of Acibadem, stated:
