Galenika opened new unit for solid drugs - Investment worth about 50 million euros
Pharmaceutical company Galenika opened today (June 21, 2010) in Zemun a new factory of solid drugs, in which over 50 million euros have been invested.
Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković said at the opening ceremony that that investment would enable Galenika to be competitive in both domestic market and export.
Galenika CEO Nenad Ognjenović said that the annual production capacity of the new factory would amount to 2bn tablets and 100m capsules, while the annual value of the production would be 100 million euros.
Construction of the new factory of solid drugs commenced in 1994.
