Calzedonia to Open Factory in Senta in September

The Italian company Calzedonia is to open a factory for the production of clothes and underwear in Senta, where 160 new workers will be employed. For those without experience, paid training will be organized. The new facility starts working in September, the company says.

Calzedonia already has five factories in Serbia, in Sombor, Kula, Subotica, Kikinda and Apatin, and four thousand people are employed there.

– For the purposes of the opening of a new facility in Senta, a suitable facility will be rented – says Adriano Zoni, a representative of this business group.

A presentation meant for the citizens who want to get employed at the new factory will also be organized.

– Experience says that it is mostly women that apply for this job. This is a sewing job and there are no age limitations or limitations as to the education and the work experience of the candidate – says Sandra Pejic Sadzak of Calzedonia Group.

The local self-government says that they have a friendly approach to new investors.

– We have only received the request for the organization of those presentation for the workers. This will take place on April 14 and 21 at the Theater building. If there are any additional requests, we will respond to them – says Sebastian Stantic, a member of the municipal council of Senta.

The municipality has secured good conditions for investors. In the south industrial zone, there are free parcels with infrastructure, optical cables, gas, electricity, water and sewer.

– Regarding logistics, Senta is in a good place and it also has a customs warehouse. Those who want to invest here are welcome – Stantic says.
